I've been playing around with computers since I was just a tiny wee boy. I started with a Sinclair ZX81, progressed to a ZX Spectrum 48k, whined at my parents until I got a ZX Spectrum 128, left home and started messing with PCs, and became a worshipper at the Dark Altar of Microsoft.
For several years I was enthralled by the Dark Powers. Then, like the sleeping prince awakened by Snow White, I was touched softly by the one true GNU, and my life changed forever.
Now, I run Debian GNU/Linux. And it is good.
On my journey I have also used Sun SPARCstations, an ICL PERQ II, an Amstrad CPC464, a Commodore 64, a Commodore VIC-20, so many different types of PC I can't remember, a Cambridge Z88, an Acorn Electron, an Acorn BBC B, a Palm Pilot Professional, HP PA-RISC boxes of various kinds (I have a 712/80 workstation here), IBM RS6000s, Apple MACs...
